When you agree to texts, the business sends you messages about your appointments through Otpho. You only get texts about your own appointments, never marketing.
Agreeing to texts
When you book online, you choose whether to get texts by ticking Text me confirmations and reminders. Beside the box, it says:
"Text me about my appointments with [business name] through Otpho: confirmations, reminders, and changes. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
If you book by phone or in person, staff ask you before they turn texts on.
The texts you get
- A confirmation when your appointment is booked.
- A reminder the day before, at the same time as your appointment.
- A message when your appointment is moved.
- A message when your appointment is cancelled.
Each text starts with the name of the business, and ends "Sent via Otpho". Confirmations, reminders, and changes include a link to change or cancel.
Stop, start, or get help
- Reply STOP to any text to stop them. We'll confirm, and send no more. This stops texts from every business that uses Otpho.
- Reply START to turn them back on.
- Reply HELP for help, or email support@otpho.com.
Email instead
If the business has your email address, you may get these messages by email too, with the same link to change or cancel. To add or change your email address, ask the business.
There's no charge from us for texts. Your carrier's message and data rates may apply.
