The businesses you book with use Otpho to run their appointments. This is what they can see about you, and what you can ask us to do with your information.
What the business can see
- Your name, as you gave it when you first booked.
- Your appointments with them: the service, the person, the office, when, and any changes or cancellations.
- Whether texts to you are on or off.
What the business can't see
- Your full phone number or email address. Otpho keeps these in a separate service from appointments, encrypted, and uses them only to send you messages. At most, staff see a short version, such as the last four digits of your number, so they can recognize it.
- Your appointments with other businesses.
- Your location or contacts. Otpho doesn't collect them.
We don't sell your information, and we don't send marketing messages.
How long it's kept
The text of each message is removed 30 days after it's delivered. The record that it was sent is kept, so the business has its appointment history. Appointments are kept as the business's records.
Get a copy, correct it, or delete it
Email support@otpho.com to:
- Get a copy of your information.
- Correct it.
- Delete your account.
When your account is deleted, your phone number and email address are erased, and messages can no longer reach you. Upcoming appointments you booked are cancelled, and those businesses are told. Businesses keep the appointments you had with them.
To stop texts without deleting anything, reply STOP to any text.
