How Otpho handles your information

A plain summary of what Otpho keeps, how phone numbers and emails are kept apart, and your choices.

This is a short summary of how Otpho handles information. The full privacy policy has the details.

Phone numbers and emails are kept apart

Phone numbers and email addresses are kept in a separate service from appointments. They're encrypted, and used only to send messages. The appointments side knows each person by a random identifier, not their number.

Staff never see a customer's full phone number or email address. Our logs and error reports leave them out too.

What Otpho keeps

  • Your phone number, to sign you in and to send texts about your appointments.
  • Your email address, if you give one.
  • Your name, and your appointments.
  • The time zone your phone reports, and the name and type of each device you sign in on.
  • For businesses: the name, offices, hours, holidays, staff names, services, and the phone and website it chooses to publish.

Otpho doesn't collect your location or contacts, and doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.

What Otpho doesn't do

  • It doesn't sell your information.
  • It doesn't send marketing messages.
  • It texts people only about their own sign-in and appointments.

How long it's kept

The text of each message is removed 30 days after it's delivered. The record that a message was sent is kept, so businesses have their appointment history. Appointments are kept as the businesses' records.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any text to stop them, and START to turn them back on.
  • Sign out any of your devices in Your account.
  • Delete your account in the app. See Delete your account.
  • Email support@otpho.com for a copy of your information or to correct it.
