You can move or cancel an upcoming appointment from its details. The customer is told either way. Owners, admins, and office managers can do this for appointments at the offices they manage.
Reschedule
- On Today, tap the appointment.
- Tap Reschedule.
- The times open on the appointment's day. Tap another day in the week strip if you need to.
- Tap a new time, then Review.
- Check the details and tap Reschedule appointment.
The service and office stay the same. The person stays the same only if the customer asked for them by name; otherwise the new time goes to anyone available. The Review screen says the customer is told about the new time.
When you see Rescheduled, tap Done to see that day on Today.
Cancel
- On Today, tap the appointment.
- Tap Cancel appointment.
- Tap Cancel appointment again to confirm, or Keep it to leave it as it is.
The appointment stays on Today marked Cancelled, and the customer is told it's cancelled.
The cut-off
Each office has a cut-off: how close to the start customers can still cancel or change. Owners and admins set it in Settings, under Booking rules, as Customers can cancel or change up to.
- The cut-off applies to customers.
- It doesn't apply to staff changing appointments for the offices they manage. You can reschedule or cancel those right up to the start.
- When staff book an appointment for themselves as a customer, the cut-off applies to them too, unless an owner or admin turns on Changes after the cut-off in Business details.
If an appointment can't be changed any more, its details say so, for example "Too late to change: the cut-off was 24 hours before," and Reschedule and Cancel appointment don't show.
Reschedule and Cancel appointment also don't show once an appointment has ended or been cancelled.
