Deactivate someone

Stop new bookings with a person who has left, and deal with their upcoming appointments.

Deactivate someone when they stop taking appointments, for example when they leave. Their history stays, and you can reactivate them later.

Owners and admins can deactivate and reactivate people.

Deactivate a person

  1. Tap Team, then tap their name.
  2. Tap Deactivate followed by their first name.
  3. Read the message. If they have appointments in the next 4 weeks, it says how many.
  4. Tap Deactivate to confirm, or tap Keep followed by their name to stop.

What happens next

  • Customers can no longer book them.
  • Their upcoming appointments aren't cancelled. They move to Needs attention, where you can give each one to someone else or cancel it.
  • Their past appointments and history stay.
  • If they signed in as an employee, they can no longer sign in to your business, and any invitation you sent them stops working.
  • They move to the Not active list at the bottom of the Team tab.

Before you deactivate someone, you can check the Upcoming appointments row on their page. It shows how many they have in the next 4 weeks.

Reactivate a person

  1. Tap Team.
  2. Under Not active, tap their name.
  3. Tap Reactivate followed by their first name.

They can be booked again. Check their offices, services and working hours before customers book them. If they should sign in again, send them a new invitation; see Let a person sign in.
